Set the session before it starts
Choose a money limit and a time limit while you are calm. Lower the stake if that budget would disappear too quickly, and never raise it simply because a feature has not appeared.
- Do not use rent, bills, credit or borrowed money.
- Do not chase losses or extend a session to recover them.
- Use the casino’s deposit, loss and time limits where available.
Know the warning signs
Hiding play, borrowing, losing track of time, feeling unable to stop or gambling to escape stress are reasons to step away. A cool-off or self-exclusion tool is more useful than another spin when control feels difficult.
Get independent help
If gambling is affecting your money, mood or relationships, contact a recognised support organisation in your country. In the UK, GamCare offers free confidential support; elsewhere, Gambling Therapy provides international online help.
