Recheck the rules before 1 December 2026

The Department of Internal Affairs says providers that were active before 1 May 2026 may continue only through the transition. From 1 December, only up to 15 auction-successful providers may operate under an exemption while applications are assessed; full licences and a public register are expected in early 2027.
